Human Resources is dedicated to partnering with the departments of the city to provide programs, services, and environments which maximize the potential of its workforce. The Human Resources Division is organized under the Office of the City Manager, and operates as an internal service agent for all city departments as well as City employees.
Human Resources administers and oversees all personnel and employee service programs including recruitment and hiring, performance management, employee relations, employee benefit programs, training and development, and safety and risk management efforts.
Director of Human Resources:
Directs the HR functions including wage and salary administration, labor relations, policy development, recruitment process, unemployment compensation, recognition program, new employee orientation, personnel records retention, equal employment opportunity activities, benefits administration, employee assistance program, employee communications, employee recreational programs, payroll, safety/risk compliance, retention programs, training, and development.
Administers all aspects of the City's benefit programs including health, dental, disability, life, and retirement plans.
Processes the municipal employee payroll data, and monitors tax liability.
Human Resources Assistant:
Serves as primary contact for recruitment, service awards, file maintenance, and processing of employee transactions for the City.
Risk Management Officer:
Coordinates and administers safety, risk management, workers compensation and loss control programs. Serves as Safety committee chairperson and city ADA representative.
Human Resources Generalist:
Performs a variety of routine and complex duties to assist the human resources department in carrying out various programs and procedures including assisting with report trending and analysis, conducting interviews, surveys, and maintenance of job descriptions.
