Holiday & Special Event Information

The City has multiple ways to obtain calendar details. Parks & Recreation and the City Council/Board and Commissions meetings and activities are located on two separate calendars.  Click on the following to connect to a calendar: 

SPECIAL EVENTS, not falling under the auspices of the City Council, Committe or Boards and Commissions. Examples: Meet the Artist, Public Works Equipment Show, Blood Drives, Ribbon Cuttings.

April 4

April 20 Meet Local Artist, Mary Lou McLagan in the lobby of City Hall from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

Enjoy chatting with her as you learn about her teachings and her oil, pastel and watercolor.

Light refreshments served.

Wine tasting available, compliments of Third Street Social. 

April 29 RecycleFEST 

An event offered by the City of Lee's Summit twice a year as a way to celebrate Earth Day in the Spring and America Recycles Day in the Fall.  Residents can bring various unusual items to recycle at the event for FREE.   

Time:  9am - Noon
Location:  City Hall parking lot, 220 SE Green Street

May 20 Big Truck & Equipment Show is an annual event showcasing big trucks and equipment the city uses to provide important everyday services that help us maintain our streets and water supply.

Kids of all ages can climb into the driver's seat of some of the biggest equipment. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in front of City Hall.
June 24 Airport Open House is an annual event celebrating aviation and the importance of the Airport as a gateway connecting businesses across the country to Lee's Summit and surrounding communities. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
