*Note: There have been eight Transportation Development Districts (TDD) authorized by the Jackson County Circuit Court within a portion of the City of Lee's Summit. These retail shopping districts have levied an additional sales tax to pay for the cost of road infrastructure costs

TDD Forms:

House Bill 191 amended section 238.235, RSMo. to require the Department of Revenue to begin collecting sales taxes imposed by transportation development districts (TDD).  The Department will first begin collecting a transportation development district’s tax for tax periods beginning January 1, 2010.  For additional information, contact the Local Tax Unit at 573-751-4876 or email localgov@dor.mo.gov.

New Longview TDD will begin filing their sales tax returns with the DOR for the tax period beginning April 1, 2010.

*Note: There have been four Community Improvement Districts (CID) established within a portion of the City of Lee's Summit. These districts have levied an additional sales tax to pay for the cost community improvements.

  • Raintree 150 Center CID adds 1%.......8.600%
