The City of Lee’s Summit is excited to announce an artist reception featuring Charles Carman Pierce Thursday, April 15, 2010. Pierce will be greeting attendees from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will also be performing a live sketch in the lobby of City Hall.
Pierce is a local artist who began his studies at the age of 15 and later continued his studies at Chicago‘s American Academy of Art. He has perfected his style and portraitures in the selected mediums of charcoal, pastels and oils, have been his main interest. His works also include Plein Air study in landscapes and seascapes, still life and animals in the mediums of acrylics and watercolor. His artwork has been displayed across the United States at numerous venues and art shows.
His artwork will be on display in the lobby of City Hall (220 SE Green St) until July 9, 2010.
Exhibit hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
