Lee’s Summit residents should now have their 2010 Census forms to complete and mail back in the self-addressed, postage paid envelope. If you have already mailed your completed form, thank you.
If you have not completed the form and mailed it back to the Census Bureau remember to do so by Thursday, April 1.
Remember, you do not need to correct city and zip code information on the census. The slight changes in address information are to streamline the sorting and delivering of forms by the U.S. Postal Service. These changes will NOT affect which city, town or block your household’s responses will be assigned to when census results are tabulated.
If the address on your form is completely wrong, it must have been delivered to you by mistake. Please destroy this form. To obtain a new census form, go to a “Be Counted” site. The “Be Counted” site in Lee’s Summit is located at the Mid-Continent Public Library, 150 N.W. Oldham Pkwy. Also, go to a “Be Counted” site if you have not received a Census form in the mail.
For more information about the Census, go to www.2010census.gov
Or, contact the City’s Census Liaison Christina Alexander at (816) 969-1607.
Time is running out. Don’t delay, please turn in your Census form today!
