Meet local artist Rick Stone, view his artwork, and enjoy refreshments, beginning at 6 p.m. in the City Hall lobby. He has experience in interior design and is the owner of a dance studio. His fascination with design is evident through his many art pieces, shown in an array of shows, including Longview Farms, the Power & Light District and Westport shows, and many more.
He heightens his photography by adding hints of color and an element of movement by use of colored pencils. This technique is very unique and maintains originality to each piece. You must check out his work!
Stone’s artwork will be on display in the lobby of City Hall until mid-July, 2011 during business hours, Monday through Friday.
“LS360 2011: On Course for the Future”, is being sponsored by Hawthorn Bank, the Lee’s Summit Journal, and the Truman Heartland Foundation. It is being held in conjunction with the artist’s reception to help promote and support the Arts in Lee’s Summit, a key Quality of Life goal of the LS360 plan. Come learn more about the overall vision of Lee’s Summit and recent successes in an informal setting. Reservations are requested but not required. Call 969-1000.
