The City’s Information Technology Services (ITS) staff successfully completed the installation of several key replacement hardware components for the City’s computer networked systems and servers. The installation was warranted after receiving significant water damage earlier this week.
The installation, completed on Thursday at 9 p.m., resulted in the functionality of many of the City’s applications and systems. As a result, residents are now able to pay bills for Water Utilities, Parks & Recreation and Courts online and by telephone.
The majority of the applications for City employees are operational as well, including access to the City’s Web site, the Intranet and the network drives. Employees also have the ability to send and receive e-mails again, which became operational on Thursday for most staff.
